Cautiousness and observation |
After having discussed this morning with Antonio, it appears that the cone of the south-eastern crater stopped spitting this night (27-28/9/97). He advises us to go to see the Voragine and Bocca Nuova by the North-West, specifying us that it is well necessary to observe the explosions and the falls before venturing on the peaks.
Indeed, during our climb of the
Western side, a flight of bombs falls down not far from us, and
we continue a little more at the horizontal and took more
caution. Jean-Louis is checking the heat of this bomb wich we saw
falling.
